About
Leo is a simple voice assistant for Windows. Written in C#. Created with complete enthusiasm without sponsorship. Clearly recognizes commands using the Vosk API. At the beginning of development it was not planned as a full-fledged project. It was originally started as a project for myself, to learn .NET and C#. A little later it became clear that Leo had a big dance as my first major project.
History of creation
The project began suddenly in early summer 2023. The assistant's original name was Poping Cat (Meme reference). The idea was a post in a Telegram channel with a custom shopping cart icon in the form of the famous cat. Later, towards the end of May, it was renamed because I wanted to implement WakeWord, and with such a complex name it was difficult to refer to it. The dragon was already taken as the idea for the icon and face of the project. But the idea to create my own voice assistant came after I watched a video where they wrote their assistant - Jarvis.
